Yes, we did celebrate Halloween. And while it is long gone, I thought I would post our pictures. And truly noteworthy is that it was 72 degrees outside here in Omaha on Halloween! It was a fabulous day. We went down to Lauritzen Gardens again this year for fun crafts and activities. Here is our family in the beautiful indoor courtyard.
Nicholas enjoying the view from the backpack. I love this costume!
I went to help with Lexie's Halloween party at school and go along on their costume parade around the zoo. Here is her whole class.
And here are all of Lexie's V.G. friends in her class.
Lexie's teachers' costumes were great! Clever peacock and scarecrow ideas.
The marshmallow game...which Lexie did get one bite but then got upset and didn't want to eat it fast and dropped out of the game!
Nicholas and his little friend Amelia were twin lions! They were super cute.
Well, we had a fun round of trick-or-treating around the neighborhood with our friends. Here is Lexie with some of her best friends, Alex and Annie. She had a great time trick-or-treating and still has a huge bag left. Gavin was not into the trick-or-treating scene this year, and stopped after about 20 minutes saying that his tummy hurt. But he got tons of use out of the dragon costume for dress up this past month, so he was fine with ditching the treats. (He walked around with Lexie and me for a while, but wouldn't even go up to the door and collect the candy even though we were at the house!)
And it was nice to be all done for the night by 7:00. It was a great day with awesome weather and fun activities, and fun to dress up! (Here you see my hat, I didn't get my costume made...maybe next year :) )
P.S. The warm weather continued into the next week and we went down to the school and flew kites! You can't beat 70 degrees and blooming flowers in November!
