The Nativity Program

Tonight was our ward's Christmas party and the Primary put on the Nativity play for the program. It all turned out cute in the end, what's better than sweet kids trying to portray the events at the birth of the Savior? The little manger we made last year has really come in handy for us! We used one of Lexie's dolls, and have stationed it by our tree this year as a decoration. These pictures were taken at our house after the program instead of during it, as I was directing the show and could not take pictures!
Lexie was the announcing angel in the play. She memorized what the angel proclaimed to the shepherds as found in Luke 2:10-12. She did a great job and looked beautiful.
Gavin...he was a RAM. It was definitely a struggle when he got assigned to be a sheep, but after Danny suggested a ram, he agreed. (For the entire rehearsal he sat defiantly on the side of the stage and would not participate. I couldn't make him do anything either, as I was trying to coordinate the rest of the Primary.) He really wanted to be an angel, like Lexie. But since he found out rams were tough and butted heads with their hard horns, he was proud to wear the ram costume.
Nicholas did not get to be in the play, but we dressed him up like a shepherd just for fun. The kids had a fun time!
